Male Blood Pressure

Male Blood Pressure

Your blood pressure is very important, but many men don’t realize it or even think about it.   Your blood pressure affects how the blood flows through your body.  When it is too low then it isn’t circulating like it should.  When it is too high, there is too much pressure behind it and that can create damage to your body, especially to the arteries.  Discovering what your normal male blood pressure: hypertension in menblood pressure reading should be is important.  You can find that information online just by entering your weight and height information.

Blood pressure readings can vary throughout the day.  It is typically going to offer you the best reading early in the morning.  It will naturally increase after you have been exercising and it is naturally going to decrease when you are resting.  It is important to have your blood pressure checked on a regular basis.

You aren’t necessarily going to feel bad if you are outside of blood pressure norms, in most instances, so you don’t want to wait until you feel symptoms to have it checked.

When you go to the doctor for a checkup, they should check it.  You can also check it for free with machines offered at many pharmacy locations.  You just sit down, put your arm in the cuff, and it will read it for you.  This is a great way for you keep an eye on your blood pressure between doctor visits.

You definitely want to do all you can to get your blood pressure under control.  For any male, this will help with reducing the risk of heart disease, high cholesterol, and other issues.  Eating right is important not only in terms of what you eat but also portion size.   Knowing what not to eat is as important as any other aspect of the topic.   Making some positive changes in this area is very important.

Daily exercise helps to reduce stress and that is important too.  Exercise can help you to lower your blood pressure and it will also help your heart, as well as the overall circulation process.  If you suffer from ongoing stress, you should make changes such as to your job and your relationships.  You may find that talking with a professional is a good way to get a handle on that stress.

Many companies have and offer Employee Assistance Programs (EAP) to help with such things.  Some men are reluctant to ask for help when it is needed.  Or, they fail to recognize the need for help or, what benefit could be derived from professional help.  Many get stuck behind the male ego which tells them that they can handle it on their own.   In many cases it is simply not the case.

If your blood pressure is quite high or low, your doctor may recommend that you also take medication for it.  You may need to take it for a short time as you make other changes to your lifestyle habits.  For some individuals, they need to take the medicine daily at a low dose to help keep their blood pressure within a normal range.

High blood pressure (hypertension) is nothing to fool around with.  The earliest you can find out you have it, the better off you will be.  Unfortunately, there are many people who are not aware they have hypertension.  The first sign they get is a stroke or something similar.  Often, that is too late.

My problem began as high blood pressure. After meds, it got so low I was feeling weak.
The doc forgot to reduce the dose. It got too low.
    Beware of that.
